Mr. Goldsborough, chairman of the committee on Corpora-
tions, reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to amend
the code of public general laws, in regard to ordinary keepers
and retailers;

Which was read the first time.

Also, on the bill entitled, an act for the relief of the heirs
of John Shawley, deceased, former collector of taxes in Caro-
line county ;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act relating to bank directors
in the city of Baltimore ;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Balti-
more and Liberty turnpike company in Carroll and Freder-
ick counties;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act to amend the charter of
the Corn Exchange Buildings company, passed at January
session, 1860, so as to increase the number of directors in
said company from eight to nine, and to provide for the man-
ner of their election;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Briscoe, acting chairman of the committee on Claims,
reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to refund to
Samuel T. Stonestreet, late clerk of Montgomery county a
sum of money erroneously paid into the Treasury by him as
a tax on his office in the year 1851;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Wootton, from a select committee, reported favorably
on the bill entitled, an act to make valid a deed from Octa-
vious C. Harris and Ann E. Harris to Judson Richardson,
and a mortgage from James H. Crandell and Elizabeth E.
Crandell, his wife, to Judson Richardson, and to authorise
the recording of the same;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Lawson, from a select committee, reported favorably
on the bill entitled, an act to amend the code of public local
laws of Somerset county, by adding thereto the following
sections;

Mr. Long, chairman of the committee on Ways and Means,
reported favorably on a bill entitled, an act to amend the 11th
article of the code of public general laws by adding thereto
