712            JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [March 2,

The bill entitled, an act to amend an act, passed January
session, 1854, chapter 245, entitled, an act to incorporate the
Towsontown Plank Road company;

Severally endorsed: "passed by yeas and nays;"

Also, delivered the following Senate bills:

A bill entitled, an act to exempt the citizens of Harford
county from the operations of laws heretofore enacted in rela-
tion to shooting wild fowl in the waters of said county, and
to amend the 12th article of the code of public local laws, by
adding thereto certain sections relating to the shooting of
such wild fowl;

Endorsed: "passed by yeas and nays;"

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Har-
ford county delegation.

A bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Chesapeake and
Potomac Steam Packet company;

Endorsed: "passed by yeas and nays;"

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an act to compensate Edwin H. Webster,
Esq., of Harford county, for professional services in the cases
of the State against John Montgomery, and the State against
John Barnard, by appointment of the Governor;

Endorsed: "passed by yeas and nays;"

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on Claims.

A bill entitled, an act amendatory of an act to incorporate
the Baltimore Steam Packet company, by authorising said
company to purchase and hold stock in other companies, or
general or State governments;

Endorsed: "passed by yeas and nays;"

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Florence Mining
company of Maryland;

Endorsed: "passed by yeas and nays;"

Which was read the first time and referred to the committee
on Corporations.
