A bill entitled, an act to amend the 106th section in rela-
tion to the salary of the Adjutant General, of article 42 of
the code of public general laws;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on Ways and Means.

Also, returned the following:

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the commissioners of
Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties to levy a sum of
money to rebuild the bridge across the Big Patuxent river at
Snowden's Old Iron Works;

A bill entitled, an act to make valid the devisees or bequests
of Louisa Dunning, late of Talbot county, Maryland, to the
trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church of St. Michael's
in said county;

A bill entitled, a further supplement to the act entitled,
an act to incorporate the Mutual Insurance company of Fre-
derick county;

A bill entitled, an act to amend the 7th section of article
93 of the code of public general laws relating to the appoint-
ment by the Treasurer of clerks to assist in the discharge of
his duties;

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the school commission-
ers for Charles county to pay over to the creditors of George
K. Palmer the amount of money ascertained to be due said
Palmer for services as teacher;

A bill entitled, an act to allow to William Thompson, of
C., late collector of taxes in the first election district of
Montgomery county, further time to complete his collections;

A bill entitled, an act to authorise Samuel Swan to settle
his accounts as guardian to John C. Hancock, and deliver
over the estate of his said ward;

A bill entitled, an act for the benefit of the Baltimore City
Protestant Episcopal Missionary committee;

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the opening of a road
in Howard and Montgomery counties, Maryland;

A bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Patuxent Steam
Navigation company;

A bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Old School Regu-
lar Particular Baptist Church in the town of Salsbury, Som-
erset county, Maryland;

A bill entitled, an act authorising the county commission
