erick county to record a deed from John W. Derr and wife,
and John Miller and wife, Ann Maria Williams, Joseph Ag-
man and wife, and Henrietta Miller, to Adam Koogle.

On motion of Mr. Mills,

The rules were suspended to enable him to offer a peti-
tion from John Smith, Adam Foutz and John Roberts, pray-
ing for an act condemning two miles of the Hagerstown and
Westminster Turnpike.

Referred to the committee on Roads and Highways.

Mr. Jacobs, from a select committee, reported favorably
on the bill entitled, an act to make valid a deed from Sewell
F. Collins and Henrietta D. Collins his wife, to Elijah Reg-
ister;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the commit-
tee on the Judiciary.

Mr. Linthicum, from a select committee, reported favora-
bly on a bill entitled, an act to authorise Jeremiah L. Patti-
son, of Dorchester county, to erect and keep a gate on the
public road leading from Tobacco Stick to Taylor's Island.

On motion of Mr. Linthicum,

The rules were suspended, the said bill read a second and
third time, and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
