On motion of Mr. Medders,

The rules were suspended to enable him to present the fol-
lowing:

To the Honorable,

The General Assembly of Maryland:

The undersigned, trustees of the Shrewsbury Academy, in
Kent county, beg leave to report:

That they have complied with the law granting to Shrews-
bury Academy the sum of one hundred dollars for the educa-
tion of five poor children.

That the academy is at present not in operation, owing to
a severe indisposition of the teacher engaged; but will be, as
soon as his health is sufficiently restored.

The trustees respectfully ask a continuance of the hundred
dollars.
