Mr. Maxwell, acting chairman of the committee on Corpora-
tions, reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to amend
the 8th article of the code of public local laws, by adding
thereto the following sections, giving to the President and
commissioners of the village of Port Deposite, the power to
pave the streets, and borrow money on the credit of the cor-
poration ;

Which was read the first time, and by special order, the
second and third time, and passed by yeas and nays as fol-

Mr. Goldsborough, chairman of the committee on Corpora-
tions, reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to incor-
porate the Baltimore City Passenger Railway company.

Mr. Maxwell moved to make it the order of the day for
