Mr. Long, from the committee on the Judiciary, reported
favorably on the bill entitled, an act to make valid a bill of
sale from Thomas S. Herbert to William Chapman ;

The said bill was then sent to the Senate.

Mr. Mackubin, chairman of the committee on Claims, re-
ported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to refund to
Henry T. Scott, administrator of Wm. Scott, late collector of
State and county taxes for Prince George's county, certain
moneys overpaid by said administrator in the treasury of
Maryland ;

Also, the bill entitled, an act to appropriate a sum of money
to Joseph M. Ebberts, for services rendered to the State, in
appointing patrol under the order of the Governor, and for
personal services rendered under said order, on the Pennsyl-
vania and Potomac lines, on the 29th and 30th days of Octo-
ber, 1859;

Which were severally read the first time.

Mr. Jones, of Talbot, from the committee on Pensions, re-
ported unfavorably on the petition of Mrs. Charlotte Pecor,
formerly Sewell, praying for a pension ;

Which was adopted.
