So the order was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Freaner, "
Leave was granted to Messrs. Freaner, Burgess and Sal-
mon to introduce a bill to require certain officers to keep
and return to the treasurer of the State an account of all sums
of money received by them respectively, in their official capa-
cities ;
Also, leave was granted the same committee to introduce a
bill to require the State's Attorney of Baltimore city, to give
bond for the faithful discharge of his official duties;
Also, leave was granted the same committee to introduce a
bill to prescribe the manner of indicting; State's Attorneys in
this State, for misdemeanors in office, and of prosecuting the
same.
Mr. McAllister offered the following :
Ordered, That the Directors of Greenmount Cemetery com-
pany of Baltimore City, report to this House, at as early a
period as practicable, whether the provisions of the act of in-
corporation have been complied with in all respects, what the
total amount of receipts and expenditures, under said act of
incorporation, have been to the 1st of January, 1860, inclu-
sive, and the names of all lot-holders to said date ;
Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Jones, of Prince George's,
Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill making valid a deed from William Morrison
and wife to John W. Whiteside, of Prince George's county.
Mr. Chaplain, from the committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to amend the
146th section of the 16th article of the code of public local
