Mr. Landing offered the following :

Ordered, That the Librarian furnish the Clerk of the Cir-
cuit court for Worcester county, copies of the acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, passed at December session,
1843, and 1845; also, a copy of Alexander's Chancery practice;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Compton presented a memorial from Joseph D. Gardi-
ner, and one hundred and twenty-five persons, praying the
Legislature to appropriate a sum of money to arm the mounted
Volunteer Company of Charles county;

Which was referred to the committee on the Militia.

On motion of Mr. Holland,

Leave was granted the select committee, to report a bill re-
pealing a law, passed February 10th, 1854, to allow the citi-
zens of Somerset county to dredge for Oysters in the waters of
said county.

On motion of Mr. Harding,

Leave was granted the Montgomery county delegation, to
introduce a bill for the relief of James Anderson, county Sur-
veyor of Montgomery county.

On motion of Mr. Briscoe,

Leave was granted the committee on Colored Population, to
report a bill to regulate the manumission of negro slaves in
this State.

Mr. Gordon offered the following:

Ordered, That the Special committee appointed in the case
of Judge Henry S. Stump, have leave to act in conjunction
with the committee appointed by the Senate, to consider the
same subject;

Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Griffith,

Leave was granted the committee on Agriculture, to report
a bill making it penal to adulterate Guanos, or the agricultu-
ral fertilizers, or to sell the same.

Mr. Stake offered the following:

Ordered, That the Adjutant General be directed to furnish
John Harrigan, a soldier in the war of 1812, with a gun, out
of any unappropriated arms now in his possession;

Which was adopted.
