538              JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 24,

sideration the bill entitled, an act for the establishment of the
southeastern and northwestern boundary lines between this
State and the State of Virginia, and making further appro-
priation to complete the survey and the marking of the
same;

Said bill being upon its second reading;

Mr. Long offered the following amendment:

Section 1, 9th line, after the word "the," strike out the
word "westernmost," and insert the word "southernmost;"

Which was concurred in.

On motion of Mr. Lawson,

The blank in section 3, after the words "sum of," was
filled with the words "ten thousand."

The bill, as amended, was then read the second time, and
by special order the third time, and passed by yeas and nays
as follow:
