district of Prince George's county, further time to complete
his collections;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act appointing commissioners
to establish an additional free school in Vansville district,
Prince George's county,

Which were severally read the first time.

Mr. Bryan, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the bill entitled, an act authorising the clerk of the Circuit
court of Prince George's county, to procure the transcribing
and binding of certain books;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act to enlarge the ninth elec-
tion district of Prince George's county;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act to amend the 146th sec-
tion of the 16th article of the public local laws of Prince
George's county;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act to amend the 168th and
169th sections of article sixteen of the code of public local
laws relating to the compensation of the sheriff, of Prince
George's county;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act for the relief of the sure-
ties on the bonds of Harrison Willis, former collector of the
second collection district of Prince George's county;

Which were read severally the first time.

Mr. Wilson, of Harford, reported favorably on the bill en-
titled, an act to amend the 10th article of the code of public
general laws, which prohibits postmasters and marshals from
holding office in this State, by exempting postmasters from
the prohibition;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act for the relief of W. R.
Pierce, of Harford county, exempting him from the pro-
hibition and penalty imposed by the 10th section of the 68th
article of the code of public general laws;

Which were severally read the first time.

Mr. Barnard, reported favorably on the bill entitled, an
act to add a new section to article 1 of the code of public
local laws relating to justices of the peace and constables;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Dennis, of Worcester, reported favorably on the bill
entitled, an act to amend the 35th section of the 22d article
