On motion of Mr. Bryan,

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to intro-
duce a bill authorising the clerk of the circuit court of
Prince George's county to have certain documents transcribed.

On motion of Mr. Eakle,

Leave was granted the Washington county delegation to
introduce a bill to authorise the Boonsboro' Turnpike Road
company to remove the toll gates.

On motion of Mr. McAllister,

Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to increase the number of directors in the Corn
and Flour Exchange company of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Mackubin,

Leave was granted him to withdraw from the files of the
House the bill entitled, an act appropriating a sum of money
to pay A. B. Hagner, attorney for Tucker, Tongue & O'Hara,
Nicholas H. Green, clerk of the Circuit court for Anne Arun-
del county, Levin Woolford, clerk of the Circuit court for
Somerset county, J. S. Inloes, John Clark, Whitney & Cash-
ing, J. M. Hanck, sheriff of Washington county, and John
Cullen, for services rendered and articles furnished the State.

On motion of Mr. Dennis, of Somerset,

The petition of W. H. Stafford and others;
The petition of Thomas Straughn and others;
And the petition of L. Parvins and others;

Were severally withdrawn from the committee of Ways
and Means, and referred to the committee on Education.

On motion of Mr. Jones, of Prince George's,
The rules were suspended, and the bill entitled, an act
granting the leave of the Legislature to the bequest made by
Hanson Peen, late of Prince George's county, deceased, to
Benjamin O. Lounds, in trust as declared by his last will
and testament;

Was read the second time, and by special order the third
time, and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
