Chesapeake Day and its tributaries;

Referred to the committee on Oysters and Fish.

Mr. Dennis, of Somerset, presented a petition from Robert
Jones and other citizens of Somerset county, praying the
passage of a law to prohibit the sale of spirituous liquors in
Potato Neck;

Referred to the Somerset county delegation.

Mr. Freaner presented a petition from William Downey
and 49 other citizens of New Market District, in Frederick
county, praying for protection against certain grievances in
the transportation of hay and straw by the Baltimore and
Ohio Railroad;

Referred to the special committee on that subject.

Also, a petition from A. Ingman and 50 other citizens of
Washington county, praying a reduction of licenses on eat-
ing and drinking houses;

Referred to the committee on. Ways and Means.

Also, a protest from 35 citizens of the town of Clear Spring,
in Washington county, against any act to incorporate said
town;                                                                                     

Referred to the committee on Corporations.

Mr. Maxwell presented a petition from Henry C. Clayton
and 150 other citizens of Cecil county, relative to the build-
ing of a bridge over the Bohemia river;

Referred to the Cecil county delegation.

Mr. Medders presented a petition from sundry citizens of
Kent county, to increase the number of election districts and
appoint seven commissioners to lay out and define the same;

Referred to the Kent county delegation.

Mr. Straughn presented a petition from R. M. Hopkins and
50 other citizens of Caroline county, relative to a railroad in
said county;

Referred to the committee on Corporations.

Mr. Mackubin presented a memorial from sundry residents
of the third election district of Anne Arundel county, pray-
ing the passage of law to prohibit the sale of intoxicating
liquors therein;

Referred to the Anne Arundel county delegation.
