Seth, Berry, Crowley, McAllister, Smith, Turner, of Balti-
more city, Coudy, Brining, Freaner, Stake, Griffith, Hard-
ing, Gordon, Barnard, Beall, McCleary, Roop, Gorsuch,
Mills and Brown.

The proceedings of yesterday were read.

The Speaker laid before the House the report of the weigher
of live stock;

Which was read, and referred to the committee on Ways
and Means.

Also, the following bills, delivered by the Secretary of the
Senate, laid over from yesterday:

A bill entitled, an act to amend article 15, sections 51, 52,
53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64 and 65 of the
public local laws, relating to schools in Montgomery county;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Mont-
gomery county delegation.

A bill entitled, an act to repeal section 90 of the public
local laws, relating to election districts in Kent county;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Kent
county delegation.

A bill entitled, an act to amend the 8th article of the code
of public local laws, by adding thereto a section for the pro-
tection of the navigation on the Susquehanna river;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Cecil
county delegation.

A bill entitled, an act for the benefit of the Easton Gas
Light Light company, of Talbot county;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Talbot
county delegation.

A bill entitled, an act to amend the 83d section of the 74th
article of the code of public general laws, so as to extend the
right to sue captains and owners of vessels and steamboats in
the county where they take freight;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on the Judiciary.

A bill entitled, an act to amend the 4th article of the code
of public local laws, by adding thereto certain sections au-
thorising the mayor and city council of Baltimore to endorse
or guarantee the first mortgage bond of the Western Mary-
