Which was adopted.

Mr. Morgan presented a petition from James Adams, Wil-
liam Bingham, John M. Frazier, and other clerks in State
Tobacco Warehouse, praying the passage of an act for their
relief;

Referred to the committee on Claims.
On motion of Mr. Bryan.

Leave was granted the committee on Claims to introduce a
bill for the relief of the sureties on the bonds of Harrison
Wallis, former collector of the second collection district of
Prince George's county.

On motion of Mr. Worthington,

The rules were suspended to enable him to propose the fol-
lowing:

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Adjutant General shall furnish to Captain Richard J. Wor-
thington, of the Reisterstown Rifles, fifty Minnie rifles, with
their accoutrements, upon his giving bond to the State of
Maryland, with security, for their safe keeping and return to
the State, according to law;

Which was read the first time.
On motion of Mr. Welch,

Leave was granted the Anne Arundel county delegation to
introduce a bill authorising the commissioners of Anne Arun-
del county to levy a sum of money in favor of the trustees of
primary school No. 57, junior.

On motion of Mr. Krafft,

The petition of Samuel Scott, reported on unfavorably by
the committee on Claims, was withdrawn from the files of the
House, and referred to the committee on the Judiciary.

Mr. Seth offered the following:

Ordered, That the State Wharfinger for Baltimore city in-
form this House whether any work has been clone by his order
by the Port Warden of Baltimore city in digging sediment
