On motion of Mr. Krafft,

The rules were suspended and the bill entitled, an act fur-
ther carrying out the provisions of the nineteenth section of
article four of the Constitution, by adding new sections to the
seventy-fourth article of the code of public general laws, by
authorising the removal of causes from the several courts of
Baltimore city;

Was recommitted.
On motion of Mr. Mackubin,

Leave was granted the Anne Arundel county delegation to
introduce a bill relating to free negroes in Anne Arundel
county.

On motion of Mr. Smith,

Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to amend the act of eighteen hundred and fifty-
four, chapter two hundred and four, entitled, an act to incor-
porate the Charles Street Avenue company.

Mr. Ford moved a suspension of the rules to enable him to
call up a Senate bill;

Which was not granted.
On motion Mr. Goldsborough,

Leave was granted a special committee of three, Messrs.
Goldsborough, Gordon and Denison, of Baltimore city, to in-
troduce a bill to add an additional section to article 37 of the
code of public general laws.

On motion of Mr. Mills,

The rules were suspended to enable him to present a petition
from William Segafoose, sheriff of Carroll county, praying
for compensation for arresting Josiah Frock, in Pennsyl-
vania;

Referred to the committee on Claims.

Also, leave was granted a special committee, consisting
of Messrs Mills, Coudy and Claggett, to introduce a bill for
the better regulation of the sale of tan bark.

Mr. Linthicum proposed the following:

We herewith return the bill entitled, an act to authorise
Jeremiah L. Pattison, of Dorchester county, to erect and
