introduce a bill to amend the 21st article of the code of pub-
lic local laws, by striking out sections 108 to 142, inclusive-
ly, and inserting others.

On motion of Mr. Denison, of Baltimore county,

Leave was granted the Judiciary committee to introduce
a bill to protect buoys or beacons belonging to the United
States in the waters, of the Chesapeake bay.

On motion of Mr. McCoy,

Leave was granted the Harford county delegation to
bring in a bill to allow Juliana Hall to deed to the vestry of
St. John's Church of Havre-de-Grace two lots of ground.

Mr. Freaner, chairman of the committee on Elections, re-
ported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to amend the 4th
article of the code of public local laws by adding thereto the
following sections, requiring and prescribing the mode of re-
gistering the legal voters in the city of Baltimore;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Gordon, from the committee on the Judiciary, report-
ed favorably on the bill entitled, an act to authorise Theo-
philus Jones, a free person of color, to convey certain land
therein mentioned;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act to amend the 98th, 100th
and 103d sections of article 30th, relating to larceny, of the
code of public general laws;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act to change the name of
Frederick Jerome Ridgaway to Frederick Jerome Cahill;

Also, on the bill entitled, a supplement to an act to incor-
porate the Hazlewood Coal company;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act to repeal the 127th section
of the code of public general laws, imposing a fine upon min-
isters for marrying minors under certain circumstances;

Which were severally read the first time.

Also, unfavorably on the bill entitled, an act to make valid
a deed from William Ridenour and Eve Ridenour, his wife,
of Springfield, Clarke county, Ohio, to Salome Delaplaine, of
Frederick county, in this State.

On motion of Mr. Gordon,

The bill entitled, an act for the better collection of the rev-
enue of this State from certain sales by auction in the city of
Baltimore:
