from the committee on trustees of Thomas Sloan, a lunatic,
to fulfil a contract on the part of said lunatic for the sale of
land in this State, or, if necessary, to enforce the execution
thereof by suit;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act to make valid a deed from
Samuel Thomas and Charlotte his wife, Susan Thomas, and
Margaret Thomas, and James Gillespie;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act to repeal the 202d section
of article 4th of the code of public local laws;

Which were severally read the first time.
On motion of Mr. Long,

The rules were suspended, and the bill entitled, an act to
amend the 63d section of the 28th article of the code of
public general laws, relative to public landings, and to add
to said article the following sections regulating the manner
and terms on which such landings shall be established;

Was read the second time.

Mr. Compton, from the committee on the Militia, made an
unfavorable report on the bill entitled, an act giving the
Junior Artillery company of Baltimore authority to receive
honorary or contributing members;

Also, a favorable report on the bill entitled, an act to au-
thorise the Governor and Adjutant General to purchase arms
for the use of the State;

Was read the first time, and
On motion of Mr. Compton,
Was made the order of the day for Thursday next.

Mr. Burgess, from a select committee, made a favorable
report on the bill entitled, an act to authorise Samuel Swan
to settle his accounts as guardian to John Hancock, and de-
liver over the estate to his said ward;

Mr. Goldsborough, from the committee on Corporations,
reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to incorporate
the Wyoming Tribe No. 37, Improved Order of Red Men of
Uniontown, Maryland;

Also, on the Senate bill entitled, an act to amend an act
entitled, an act to incorporate the Oldtown Saving's Institution
of Baltimore, which was passed at the January session, 1859;
