The vote just taken on the bill was reconsidered, and the
rules suspended, and said bill reconsidered to its second read-
ing, and recommitted to the committee on Corporations.

On motion of Mr. Chaplain,

The rules were suspended, and the bill entitled, an act to
amend the 110th, 111th, 112th and 113th sections, relating
to penalties for selling lottery tickets, of article 300 of the
code of public general laws, and to add the following sections
thereto for suppressing lotteries;

Was read the second time;

On motion of Mr. Beall,

The rules were suspended, and the bill entitled, an act to
incorporate the Westernport Academy, in Allegany county.

Was read the second time, and by special order a third
time, and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
