zens of Cecil county, asking the repeal of so much of the
code of public general laws as relates to the shooting at wild
ducks in the Elk, Sassafras and Bohemia river;

Referred to the committee on Wild Fowl.

Also, a report of the trustees of the Elkton Academy;
Referred to the committee on Education.

On motion of Mr. Gorsuch,

Leave was granted the Judiciary committee to introduce a
bill to repeal sections 18 and 19 of article 55 of the code of
public general laws.

Mr. Turner, of Howard, offered the following order:

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that the ab-
sence of Mr. Brown, of Howard county, is caused by indis-
position;

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Turner, of Howard county,

Leave was granted the Howard and Montgomery counties
delegation to introduce a bill to open and lay out a public
road from a point on the Woodbine road, near Duvall's mill,
on the Patuxant river, and following down said river on
suitable ground to a point opposite to a branch in Montgome-
ry county called Mad Cap Spring branch, and up said Spring
branch on suitable ground until it intersects a road leading
from George Ellicott's farm, in Montgomery county, and
running upon said old road until it intersects a county road
leading from Damascus through Latonsville and Washington
at a point near Morris & Sopor's steam saw-mill.

On motion of Mr. Burgess,

Leave was granted the Charles county delegation to intro-
duce a bill for the relief of John Hancock, a minor, of Charles
county.

On motion of Mr. Johnson.

Leave was granted the committee on Inspections to repeal
the 477th, 481st, 514th, 526th, 529th, and 532d sections of
article 4th of the code of public local laws relating to the
inspection of tobacco in the city of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Dennis, of Somerset,
Leave was granted the Somerset county delegation to intro-
duce a bill to amend the 19th article of the code of public
local laws relating to apprentices in Somerset county.
