tive to the cattle scales, and suggest what repairs, if any, are

On motion of Mr. Maxwell,

Leave was granted the committee on Claims to introduce a
bill to compensate Ezekiel F. Chambers and Milton Whit-
ney, Esqrs., for legal services rendered in the Court of Appeals,
under the appointment of the Governor.

Also, leave was granted the committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to extend the corporate powers of the Phila-
delphia and Baltimore Railroad company.

Also, leave was granted the committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Walnut Grove company
of Baltimore county.

On motion of Mr. Worthington,

Leave was granted the Baltimore county delegation to in-
troduce a bill to amend the thirteenth article of the code of
public local laws, by adding thereto certain laws relating to
negroes in Baltimore county.

On motion of Mr. McAllister,

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to regulate the per diem and fees of the several
officers attached to the criminal court for Baltimore city.

On motion of Mr. Ford,

It was ordered, that when this House adjourns, it stands
adjourned until to-morrow morning at ten o'clock.

On motion of Mr. Chaplain,

Leave was granted the committee on the Militia to intro-
duce a bill providing for the repairs of the State Armory at
Easton.

The Speaker laid before the House the communication and
