and its tributaries;

Referred to the committee on Wild Fowl.

Mr. Bryan presented a memorial from sundry citizens of
Prince George's county, praying that the charter of the
Washington and Baltimore Turnpike company be annulled;

Referred to the committee on the Judiciary.

Mr. Denison, of Baltimore city, presented a memorial from
sundry traders of Baltimore, in favor of a reduction of li-
censes;

Referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Mr. Medders presented a petition from sundry citizens of
Kent county, to empower the county commissioners of Kent
county to authorise the supervisor to cause the public roads
to be drained;

Referred to the Kent county delegation.

Mr. Naill presented a petition from A. H. Rinehart, and
thirty-six other citizens of New Market and Monrovia, in re-
lation to the local trade on the Baltimore and Ohio Rail-
road;

Referred to the special committee on that subject.

Also, a memorial from William H. Nicodemus, and sixty-
seven other voters of Liberty district, praying for a division
of said district, and the creation of a new one;

Also, a petition from Thomas G. Maynard, and thirty-six
other citizens of Liberty district, in Frederick county, praying
for a tax on dogs;

Also, a petition from sundry citizens of Mechanicstown, in
Frederick county, praying the passage of an act to incorpo-
rate a savings' institution in said town;

Which were severally referred to the Frederick county del-
egation.

Also, a petition from T. C. Delaphane, and other citizens
of Frederick county, in relation to the local trade of the Bal-
timore and Ohio Railroad;

Referred to the special committee on that subject.

Mr. Straughn presented a petition from Norris Wilson and
forty-four others, praying a law to compel all gates to be
taken off the public roads in Election District No. 1 in Caro-
line county;

Referred to the committee on Roads and Highways.

Mr. Claggett presented a petition of the commissioners of
