the commissioners of Anne Arundel and Prince George's
counties to levy a sum of money to rebuild the bridge across
the Big Patuxent River, near Snowden's old iron works;

On motion of Mr. Goldsborough,

The rules were suspended to enable him to offer the follow-
ing:

Ordered, That the committee on Claims be and they are
hereby authorised to pay Charles L. Flanagan, for services
rendered as clerk to the investigating committee on the State
penitentiary;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Maxwell, from the committee on Corporations, reported
favorably on the following title:

A supplement to an act entitled, an act to incorporate the
President and Directors of the American Fire Insurance
company;

Which was recommitted for the purpose of amendment;
