the bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Baltimore and
Towsontown Railroad company;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the commit-
tee on Corporations.

Also, on the bill entitled, an act relating to the collection
of arrearages of taxes in Baltimore county;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on the Judiciary.

Also, on the bill entitled, an act to correct any improper
valuation of property made by the late assessors under the
new assessment in the city of Baltimore;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mitte on Ways and Means.

Also, on the bill entitled, an act to prohibit the sale of
printing and writing paper in less quantities than a ream or
section of a ream, within the State of Maryland;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on Inspections.

Mr. Legg, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the bill entitled, an act for the benefit of Stephen J. Bradley,
former sheriff of Queen Anne's county;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Naill, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the bill entitled, an act to authorise Lewis M. Motter and
Henry Rouzer to sell certain church property;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Parson-
age House of the German Reformed Church in Emmitts-
burg;

Which were severally read the first time.

Mr. Landing, from a select committee, reported favorably
on the bill entitled, an act to refund certain moneys to Am-
broze M. Payne;

tee on Claims.

Mr. Gorsuch, from the select committee on the case of
