On motion of Mr. Freaner,

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to intro-
duce a bill to make valid the proceedings in the Circuit court
for Washington county, in which certain real estate belong-
ing to the heirs of a certain James H. Kennedy, deceased,
was sold.

On motion of Mr. McCleary,

Leave was granted the Allegany county delegation to in-
troduce a bill to amend the 24th, 25th and 34th sections of
first article of the code of public local laws.

Mr. Beall offered the following :

Ordered, That a committee be appointed, composed of three,
to inquire how many extra police there are on duty in and
about the public buildings, what their pay is, who pays
them, what their duties are, and whether their services are
necessary, and report to this House on or before the 20th
instant;

Which was lost.
On motion of Mr. Barnard,

Leave was granted the Allegany county delegation to intro-
duce a bill to charter a company to build a road from Frost-
burg to Westernport, in Allegany county.

On motion of Mr. Bayless,

Leave was granted the Harford county delegation to intro-
duce a bill entitled, an act to amend the 12th article of the
public local laws, by repealing the 92d and 111th sections,
relating to printing.

On motion of Mr. Mackubin,

Leave was granted the Anne Arundel county delegation
to introduce a bill to change the name of Willy Dalenbert
Gardner to Willy Dalenbert Carr.

On motion of Mr. Krafft,

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill entitled, an act to make valid the acts of Ed-
ward Peters, as a justice of the peace in Baltimore city.

On motion of Mr. Seth,

Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill to incorporate the Maryland Express company.

On motion of Mr. Freaner.

Leave was granted the Washington county delegation to
introduce a bill to amend the twenty-first article of the code
