Also, presented a memorial of 80 citizens of Baltimore city,
praying the Legislature to grant a charter for a city passen-
ger railway to those who subscribed in good faith when the
book of subscription of the present city railway were opened
under the ordinance of the city council;

Referred to the committee on Corporations.

Also, presented a petition of the trustees of the Hagers-
town Female Seminary, and other citizens of Washington
county, asking an appropriation or donation to that insti-
tution ;

Referred to the committee on Education.

Also, presented a petition of W. E. Doyle and 39 other
citizens of Washington county, protesting against the pre-
sent license law, and asking for a modification of the same;

Referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Mr. Jacobs presented a petition from one hundred citizens
of Worcester county, praying this General Assembly to re-
monstrate against the search of our vessels trading out of
Chincotiague inlet, in Accomac county, Virginia;

Referred to a joint special committee, hereafter to be ap-
pointed.

Mr. Wootton presented a petition from N. C. Stephen, and
other citizens of Montgomery and Prince George's county,
in relation to the division line between said counties;

Referred to the Prince George's and Montgomery county
delegations.

Also, presented a memorial from sundry citizens of Prince
George's county, in regard to a bridge across the Patuxent
river;

Referred to the same delegations.

Mr. Naill presented a petition from sundry citizens of
Frederick county, in relation to the local trade of the Balti-
more and Ohio Railroad:

Referred to the special committee on that subject.

Also, a petition from R. H. Murdock, of Frederick county,
in relation to a legacy therein mentioned;

Referred to the committee on the Judiciary.
On motion of Mr. Gordon,

Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill to amend the charter of the Huzlemore Coal com-
pany.
