Which was read the first time, and referred to the commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an act authorising the Comptroller to
draw a warrant upon the Treasurer, for four hundred and
thirty dollars and thirty cents, due David C. Blackiston, ad-
ministrator of William H. Blackiston, deceased, for over-
payment made to Edward A. Moore, deceased, former State's
Attorney for Kent county, on State tax of 1845;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on Claims;

A bill entitled, an act to amend the 180th section, relating
to schools, of article three of the code of public local laws;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Balti-
more county delegation.

A bill entitled, an act to appoint and authorise certain per-
sons in Kent county, to purchase real estate in Kent county,
from Samuel E. Baker of said county, to be held in trust for
the Methodist Episcopal church in Kent circuit, for the pur-
pose of holding camp meetings, or other meetings on the
same Sunday, school festivals, &c.;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Kent
county delegation.

A bill entitled, an act to allow Robert Pippin, late collector
of State and county taxes for Caroline county, further time
to complete his collections, and to give him full authority to
do so;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Caroline
county delegation.

A bill entitled, an act to amend the 4th and 5th sections
relating to the almshouse of Queen Anne's county, of article
seventeen of the public local laws:

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Queen
Anne's county delegation.

Also, returned the bill entitled, an act for the benefit of
Brice Shipley;
Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays, with amendments."

Mr. Ford presented a petition of John Morrow and 108
other citizens of the 2d, 3d and 4th districts of Baltimore
county, praying the passage of a law to prohibit swine from
running at large in said districts;

Referred to the Baltimore county delegation.
