On motion of Mr. Johnson,                                         

Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill to amend the charter of the Junior Fire company
of Frederick city, in Frederick county.                 

On motion of Mr. Wilson, of Harford,

Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill to incorporate the Baltimore and Little Gunpowder
Turnpike company.

On motion of Mr. Jones, of Prince George's,

Leave was granted the Prince George's county delegation
to introduce a bill for the establishment of an additional
primary school in Prince George's county.

Mr. Denison, of Baltimore county, offered the following :

Ordered, That the Clerk of the Criminal court of Balti-
more forthwith report to this House whether it is his practice
to tax the State's Attorney's fee of $3 33 more than once in
any given case; and, if so, how often and whether for every
term said case may be continued or no, and what is the ag-
gregate of said fees so charged for the years 1856, 1857,
1858 and 1859;

Which was adopted, and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.                                                             

Also, presented the remonstrance of the Washington and

Baltimore Turnpike company against the passage of the bill
now before the Legislature of Maryland, and a petition for
relief;
