Mr. Gordon presented a petition from citizens of Allegany
county, against the passage of an act to authorise the increase
of the tolls on the George's Creek Railroad;

Referred to the committee on Corporations.

Also, a petition from citizens of Allegany county, praying
for the establishment of a new election district;

Referred to the Allegany county delegation.

Mr. Legg presented a petition from S. J. Bradley, former
sheriff of Queen Anne's county, for an act of Assembly, ex-
tending his time for the collection of his fees;

Referred to the Queen Anne's county delegation.

Also, a report of the commissioners of Queen Anne's
county on the school fund of said county;

Referred to the committee on Education.

Mr. Brining presented a petition from 106 citizens of Wash-
ington county, asking further protection for game in said
county;

Also, a petition from 97 citizens of Washington county,
asking further protection for game in said county;

Also, a petition from 23 citizens of Washington county,
praying a change in the law in relation to the collection of
taxes in said county;

Which were severally referred to the Washington county
delegation.                                                              

Mr. Ford presented a memorial to make certain improve-
ments at live stock scales, in Baltimore county;

Also, a second memorial upon the same subject;
Also, a third memorial upon the same subject;

Which were severally referred to the committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Mackubin presented a petition from sundry citizens of
Anne Arundel county, relating to free negro population;

Also, a memorial from sundry citizens of Anne Arundel
county, mechanics and others, asking protection against free
negro mechanics;

Which were severally referred to the Anne Arundel county
delegation.

Mr. Durant presented a petition from J. W. Forrest, T. T.
