On motion of Mr. Salmon.

Leave was granted the Frederick county delegation to intro-
duce a bill for a division of Liberty district, in Frederick
county.

On motion of Mr. Claggett,

Leave was granted the Frederick county delegation to intro-
duce a bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Georgetown and
Noland's Ferry Turnpike company.

On motion of Mr. Jones, of Prince George's,

Leave was granted the committee on Claims to introduce a
bill for the relief of Samuel Scott of Prince George's county.

On motion of Mr. Morgan,

Leave was granted the St. Mary's county delegation to in-
troduce a bill to amend section 118th, article 18th, of the
code of public local laws, relating to sheriff's fees for keeping
and boarding prisoners in St. Mary's county, and to substi-
tute a new section therefor.

On motion of Mr. Johnson.

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to intro-
duce a bill to amend section 3d, article 59th, of the code of
public laws.

On motion of Mr. Johnson,

Leave was granted the Frederick county delegation to in-
troduce a bill to amend section 67th. article 30th. of the code
of public laws.

Mr. Turner, of Howard, offered the following:

Ordered, That it be entered on the journal that Mr. Brown
is absent on account of indisposition.

Mr. Ford, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the bill entitled, an act to authorise the Treasurer to pay to
Joshua H. Hynes, former sheriff of Baltimore county, a cer-
tain sum of money ;                 

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on Claims.

Also, reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act for the
relief of families ;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on the Judiciary.
