The said bill was then sent to the Senate.

Mr. Goldsborough, from the committee on Corporations,
reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to change the
name of the Associated Professors of Saint Mary's College in
the city of Baltimore, to that of the Associated Professors of
Saint Mary's Seminary in Baltimore city, and to confirm to
to the said corporation by its new name, all the rights and
privileges held and enjoyed under the old name ;           

Also, reported favorably on the bill entitled, a supple-
ment to an act to incorporate the American Fire Insurance
company ;                                                                                     

Also, reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to in-
corporate the Rocks of Deer Creek Turnpike company ;

Also, reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to in-
corporate the Northwestern Young Men's Christian Associa-
tion of Baltimore ;

Also, reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to in-
corporate the Baltimore Gas Light company of Guayaquil;

Also, reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to in-
corporate the Monumental Steam Towing company ;

Which were severally read the first time.

Mr. Turner, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the bill entitled, an act to amend the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th,
11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 23rd, 24th
and 25th sections of articles of the code of public local laws
relating to the collection of State and county taxes in
Howard county ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Mackubin, from the committee on Claims, reported
favorably on the bill entitled, an act appropriating a sum of
money for the payment of the claims of S. S. Dawen, Charles
H. Mann, the President of the Baltimore and Susquehanna
Steam company, Montgomery Johns, executor of John Johns.
Reuben Summers and John G. Hanshaw ;
