Also, a memorial of sundry citizens of Maryland, asking
for the passage of an act relieving them from certain griev-
ances therein named, and also annulling the charter of the
Baltimore and Washington Turnpike Road company;

Referred to the committee on the Judiciary.

Mr. Wootton presented a memorial in relation to inspec-
tion of grain, from sundry citizens of Prince George's
county;

Referred to the committee on Inspections.

Mr. Legg presented a petition from Madison Brown, and
others, praying for the passage of an act for the relief of
James Potts, a citizen of Queen Anne's county;

Referred to the committee on Claims.

Mr. Goldsborough presented a petition from C. Comegys
and others, praying a change of the inspection laws on fish;

Referred to the special committee on Oysters and Fish.

Mr. Turner, of Baltimore city, presented a petition pray-
ing the passage of an act to extend the powers of the commis-
sioners of Baltimore county;

Referred to the Baltimore city delegation.

Mr. Naill presented a petition from Stephen D. Laurence
and two hundred other citizens of Frederick county, asking
an appropriation for the purchase of arms, to be furnished to
the several military companies of the State.

Referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Also, a petition from sundry citizens of Frederick county,
praying for laying out a new election district in said county;

Referred to the Frederick county delegation.

Mr. Legg presented a petition from sundry citizens of
Queen Anne's county, praying that Edward H. Cray, an in-
digent person, may be permitted to pursue the calling of a
pedler without license;

Referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Mr. Maxwell presented a petition from the Independent
Greys of Baltimore;

Referred to the committee on Corporations.

Mr. Linthicum presented a petition from sundry citizens
of Dorchester county, praying the passage of a law to restrict
