Mr. Salmon presented a petition of sundry citizens of Fred-
erick county, in relation to the colored population ;

Referred to the committee on Colored Population.

Mr. Rasin presented a memorial of sundry citizens of Kent
county, in relation to the inspection of grain ;

Referred to the committee on Agriculture.

Also, a petition of sundry citizens of Kent county, to have
the act of 1840, chapter 334, re-enacted, in respect to granting
license to retail spirituous liquors ;

Referred to the committee on the Judiciary.

Mr. Johnson presented a petition from 107 citizens of Fred-
erick county, praying for a law to prevent the Baltimore and
Ohio Railroad company from discriminating against the citi-
zens of the State;

Referred to the special committee on that subject.
Mr. Brown presented a petition from George H. Hall and
fifty-six others, against the Washington Turnpike company;
Referred to the committee on the Judiciary.

Mr. Naill presented a petition from sundry citizens of Fred-
erick county, praying the passage of an act to incorporate
the Georgetown and Noland's Ferry Turnpike company;

Referred to the Frederick county delegation.         

Also, a memorial from John B. Picking and other citizens
of Frederick county, in relation to the charges made on
transportation on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad;

Which was referred to the special committee on that sub-
ject.

Mr. Roop presented a memorial asking the incorporation
of Brothers' Relief Division, Number 136, Sons of Temperance,
in Carroll county;

Referred to the committee on Corporations.                 

On motion of Mr. Brown,                                       '*'

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill entitled, an act to amend the fifth article of
the code of public general laws relating to appeals, by add-
ing thereto a section, authorising the issuing out of a
writ of Certiorari from orders and decisions of county com-
missioners.

On motion of Mr. Brown,

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill entitled, an act to amend the sixty-third section
of twenty-eighth article of the code of public general laws,
