relating to public landings, and to add to said article certain
sections regulating the manner and terms on which such
landings shall be established.

On motion of Mr. Harding,                           

Leave was granted the Howard county delegation to intro-
duce a bill to alter the second article of the public local law,
of Howard county.                                                 

On motion of Mr. Jones, of Prince George's,
Leave was granted the Prince George's county delegation
to introduce a bill requiring the Orphans' court of Prince
George's county, to pay to the trustees now in possession of
the Bladensburg Academy, the amount of money due said
academy.

On motion of Mr. Ford,
Leave was granted the Baltimore county delegation to in-
troduce a bill to incorporate a Passenger Railway company, to
lay down a railway from Baltimore to Towsontown, on the
York Turnpike road.

Mr. Coudy presented a petition from sundry citizens of
Washington county, praying for the protection of game;

Referred to the Washington county delegation.

On motion of Mr. Welch,

Leave was granted the committee on Claims to introduce a
bill to amend the 7th section of article ninety-three of the
code of public general laws, relating to the appointment by
the Treasurer of clerks to assist in the discharge of his
duties.

On motion of Mr. Turner, of Howard,                     

Leave was granted the committee on Ways and Means to
introduce a bill to regulate the return of fees of notaries pub-
lic of the city of Baltimore, to apportion the same, to provide
for the payment of the excess into the Treasury, and to repeal
sections 22, 23 and 24 of article 38, of the code.

Mr. Legg presented a petition from James Denny and
others, praying for a change in the grain inspection law;

Referred to the committee on Agriculture.                   

On motion of Mr. McAllister,

Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill relating to bank directors in the city of Balti-
more.

On motion of Mr. Maxwell,
