Referred to the Montgomery county delegation.
On motion of Mr. Wilson, of Harford,

Leave was granted to a special committee, to introduce a
bill to make provision for the instruction of indigent blind
persons, inhabitants of this State, and to increase the facili-
ties therefor;                                               

Messrs. Wilson, of Harford, Smith, and Durant, constitute
said committee.

On motion Mr. Ford,

Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to bring
in a bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Young Men's
Christian Association of Baltimore ;

Mr. Morgan presented a petition of J. F. King, G. C.
Morgan, and other citizens, asking the passage of an act to
to arm and equip the Riley Rifle Company, in St. Mary's
county;                                          

Referred to the committee on Militia.

Mr. Turner, of Howard, presented a petition of George
Ellicott, and thirty others, praying the charges on the Balti-
more and Ohio railroad may be equalized ;

Also, a petition of John Forrest, and others, praying
the charges on the Baltimore and Ohio railroad may be
equalized ;

Which were referred to the committee on Corporations.

Mr. Worthington presented a petition from J. S. Berry
and others, praying the passage of a bill to make public a
private road in the neighborhood of Catonsville, Baltimore
county;

Referred to Messrs. Worthington, Ford and Quinlan.

Mr. Burgess presented a memorial from Elijah Wells and
others, citizens of Charles county;

Referred to the committee on the Militia.

Mr. Turner, of Baltimore city, presented a memorial from
Thomas Trotten, discouraging the use of ardent spirits;

Referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Mr. Griffith presented a petition from Stephen N. C.
