JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 23,

On motion of Mr. Krafft,

Leave was granted the Baltimore city delegation to intro-
duce a bill entitled, an act to amend the fourth article of the
public laws by adding a section thereto authorising Baltimore
city to purchase the almshouse property of Baltimore
county.

Mr. Jones, of Prince George's, presented a petition from
sundry citizens of Prince George's and Anne Arundel
counties, praying a special act, authorising the county com-
missioners of the counties aforesaid to appropriate a sufficient
sum of money to rebuild a bridge across the Big Patuxent
River, near Snowden's old iron works;

Referred to the Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties
delegations.

the extension and use of said frontage a just and reasonable
compensation; therefore,

Be it resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the State Wharfinger be and he is hereby directed to
allot to the said Anthony Reybold, owner of the steamer Ex-

other that the said Anthony Reybold may deem fit to place
on said line, ninety feet frontage of the State of Maryland's
wharf, opposite State Tobacco Warehouse No. 3, in the city of
Baltimore, commencing at the upper end of said wharf, at Con-
way street, and extending ninety feet, at and for the yearly
rent of five hundred dollars, to be paid to the State Wharf-
inger in semi-annual payments of two hundred and fifty dol-
lars each, and at that rate for so long a time as he may con-
tinue to use and occupy the same; provided, that the Legis-
lature reserves to itself the right to repeal, alter or modify
the above resolution at pleasure;

Which was read the first time.

On motion of Mr. Seth,
Leave was granted the Baltimore city delegation to in-
