136               JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 23,

Mr. McAllister offered the following:             

Ordered, That the clerk of the Criminal court for Balti-
more city, and the State's Attorney, report this House on or
before the 30th inst., what amount of indictments was found
for selling liquor without license, under the act of 1858,
chapter 414; what disposition was made of said cases, whether
removed to Baltimore county Circuit court, tried, steted, com-
promised or still remaining on the docket, and not closed.

On motion of Mr. Harding,

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary, to
bring in a bill, providing a punishment for certain nuisances
in the city of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Gordon,                     

Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill, to confirm and legalize the action of the Cum-
berland and Pennsylvania Railroad company, in constructing
a road along Neff's run.

On motion of Mr. Wilson, of Harford,

'Leave was granted the Harford county delegation to bring
in a bill, to abolish the collectors in Harford county.

On motion of Mr. Chaplain,

Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill, to incorporate the Monumental Gas company of
the city of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Jones, of Talbot,

Leave was granted the committee on Roads and High-
ways, to introduce a bill, to authorise Edward Tenant and
Morris O. Colston, to keep a gate on a public road in Talbot
county.

On motion Mr. Worthington,

Leave was granted the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill, to amend the 3d article of the public local
laws, by adding a section authorising the sale of a portion of
the almshouse property, belonging to Baltimore county.

On motion of Mr. McAllister,

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to intro-
duce a bill for the general registration of the voters of the
city of Baltimore and the several counties of the State of
Maryland.
