E. Tyson, of Baltimore, against John W. Garrett, and the
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, in regard to the discrimination
by that road in the tariff of freight, against the citizens of
Maryland, and that said committee have power to send for
persons and papers;

Which was adopted, and Messrs. Seth, Turner, of Howard
and Harding, constituted said committee.

Mr. Worthington offered the following:

Ordered, That every officer of this House, shall perform
his duties in person, and not by substitute; and that a neglect
of the same, will be considered a vacation of such office;

Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Berry,

Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill to incorporate the city Block Ferry, and Towing
company of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Smith,

Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to report
a bill to authorise the George's Creek Coal and Iron com-
pany, to increase its rates of transportation over its railroad.

Mr. Jacobs offered the following :

Ordered, That the Adjutant General loan to the Annapo-
lis Guards, commanded by Col. William A. Spencer, a stand
of muskets sufficient to equip the said company, and take the
receipt from Col. Spencer for the same, to be subject to be
called in by the said Adjutant General, at his discretion.
On motion of Mr. McCoy,

Leave was granted the Harford county delegation to bring
in a bill for a charter, to be called the Conowingo turnpike
company, in Harford county.

Mr. McAllister offered the following:

Ordered, That the clerk of the Circuit court for Baltimore
county, and the State's Attorney, report to this House on or
before the 30th inst., the number of removed liquor cases
from the Criminal court for Baltimore city, for the year 1858
and 1859, for selling liquor without license, under the act of
1858, chapter 414; also, what disposition has been made of
said cases; whether compromised, steted, settled or continued,
and if compromised, for what amount each case was so com-
promised;

Which was adopted.
