[A Form where a section or sections is, or are to be amended,
relating to the same subject.]

A Bill entitled, an Act to amend the 5th and 6th sections re-
lating to (here describe the subject), of Article ten of the
Code of Public General Laws.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the 5th and 6th sections of Article ten of the Code of Public
General Laws (relating to, &c.) be, and the same are hereby
repealed, and the following enacted as a substitute therefor.

Sometimes it may be designed to repeal a section of a public
local law, and make it a general law; when this is the case,
the public local law on that subject must be repealed. If the
sections embrace more than one subject they must be in sepa-
rate bills.

On motion of Mr. Dennis, of Worcester,

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary, to re-
port a bill to make physicians' fees for attendance in cases of
last illness, a debt of preference.
