tants, and is now filed in the Comptroller's office.

All of which is respectfully submitted,

Daniel S. Biser, Inspector General of Flour.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Inspec-
tions.                                                                                

On motion of Mr. Smith of Carroll,

It was ordered, That the Comptroller be directed to furnish
each of the Clerks of the Circuit Courts of this State and all other
Officers receiving revenue, with a copy of the late Comptroller's
report.                                       

On motion of Mr. Brengle,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill entitled, an act to empower the Treasurer to exchange
and transfer the stock held by the State of Maryland in the Cen-
tral Bank of Frederick or to sell the said stock in the said Cen-
tral Bank of Frederick.

On motion of Mr. Wilson of Calvert,               

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to introduce a
bill to compensate George W. Nutwell of Anne Arundel county,
for the loss of a negro man, killed in an attempt to secure his ar-
rest.                                               

On motion of Mr. Harris,
Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary enquire
into the propriety of abolishing stays of execution and appeals
for delay on judgments in the Courts of this State and of amend-
ing the law in regard to the right of superceding such judgment.

On motion of Mr. Fiery,

Ordered, That the resolutions of Maine, Connecticut, Mas-
sachusetts, and Vermont, accompanying the Governor's Message,
be referred to the Committee on Federal Relations.

The Speaker announced the following Committees:             

Messrs. Stewart, Davis, Goldsborough, Hall, and Dowell, to
take into consideration the report of the commissioners to erect
an Insane Hospital.                                                             

Messrs. Lester, Davis, Hall, Dail, and Abbott, to report a bill
to, regulate the granting of licenses, for the regulation of licenses
for the sale of intoxicating liquors, and

Messrs. Dorsey, Neff, Waters, Rowles, and Stewart, to report
a bill to increase the compensation of the Sheriff of Anne Arun-
del county.

On motion of Mr. Waters,
