this State of fraudulent Lotteries;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Waters presented a Report of the President of St. John's
College;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Education.

Mr. Kennedy Chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means,
reported favorably, a bill entitled, an act to alter and amend the
act passed at December Session 1849, Chapter 101, entitled, an
act to incorporate the Ocean Mutual Insurance Company of Bal-
timore;                                                                                       

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Hugg reported a bill entitled an act relating to Masters of
Vessels, Sailors and Apprentices;                                               

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Committee
Judiciary.

Mr. Brengle from a Select Committee reported a bill entitled,
an act to pay Mountjoy B. Luckett, for services rendered the State
against Basil Eves of Frederick county, indicted for murder;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Committee
on Claims.

Mr. Dorsey reported a bill entitled, an act to increase the al-
lowance to the Sheriff of Anne Arundel county for keeping and
supporting prisoners in Jail, committed for breaches of the Peace,
or for any criminal offences;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Kildow reported a bill entitled, an act entitled, an act to
make valid a deed from the Llangollen Mining Company to Silas
Kight;                                                                         

Which was read the first time.

Also reported a bill entitled, an act to amend an act entitled,

an act to incorporate the Frostburg Savings Bank;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Mr. Toadvine from the Committee on Claims, reported favora-
bly a bill entitled, an act allowing compensation to the Auditor of
the City of Baltimore for collecting taxes due and in arrears, to
the State of Maryland;                                                 

Which was read the first time.

Also a bill entitled, an act to refund to James Sparks of Queen
Anne's county, a certain amount of money;
