sage:

March 7th, 1856.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
We propose, with the concurrence of your honorable body, to
proceed, on the 8th day of March instant, at half past twelve
o'clock, to the election of a Keeper of the Records of the Court
of Chancery. We have nominated on the part of the Senate,
Lemuel Jones. We have appointed Messrs. McCullough and
Schley to join the gentlemen who may be appointed by your
honorable body to count the ballots and report the result.

A bill entitled, an act to amend the act entitled, an act to es-
tablish a House of Refuge for Juvenile Delinquents, and the sup-
plements thereof, and to authorise the appointment of Managers
on the part of the State in said House, and to give to the Judges
of the Circuit Courts for the several counties of this State, the
power to order minors to be removed to and confined in the House
of Refuge, and to appropriate for the aid and benefit and support
of the House of Refuge, the annual sum of ten thousand dollars,
for five successive years;
