Which was passed unanimously.

Mr. Lester presented a petition from George G. Burnett and
thirty-four other citizens of Baltimore, in favor of amending the
attachment law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.

The rules were suspended in order to allow Mr. Davis to offer
the following order;

Ordered, That the use of the House be granted to the Com-
mittee on the Prohibitory Law, and others, upon next Monday
and Tuesday evenings, to hear addresses from the Hon. W. S.
White, of Philadelphia, on the subject referred to said committee.

Which was adopted.                   

On motion of Mr. Valiant,

The House adjourned.             

FRIDAY, January 18th, 1856.

The House met pursuant to adjournment. Present at the call

er, Kildow, Brown, Smith, of Carroll, Buffington, Stewart, Rowles.

The proceedings of yesterday were read.                               

Mr. Frey presented a petition from Washington county, to ap-
pointment of Trustees to resell the Franklin Rail Road in that
county;


Referred to Washington county delegation.
