On motion of Mr. Scott,                       

The rules were suspended to take up,
A bill entitled, a further additional supplement to an act entitled,
an act to incorporate a company for the purpose of cutting and
making a canal between the river Delaware and the Chesapeake
Bay, passed at November session, 1799, chapter 16;. to enable
said Company to create a mortgage and to make valid certain pro-
ceedings therein mentioned;

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as fol-
lows:

Mr. Brooke from the Select Committee reported a bill entitled,
an act to extend the time in which Thomas M. D. Baden keeper
of the standards of weights and measures for Prince George's
county, may make his return to the Commissioner's Court for said
county.                                                                         

Mr. Timmons offered the following order:                 

Ordered, That bills No. 228, 322, 323, 325, 376, be made the
special order for eleven o'clock to-morrow, and that said bills have
precedence at that hour of nil other business until disposed of, af-
