Sudler a member of this House from Kent county is detained from

his seat by sickness;

The rules were suspended to take up,

A bill entitled, an act to provide for the erection of a new dor-
mitory to the Maryland Penitentiary, and making suitable provi-
sion for a chapel, and for insane persons confined in said Peniten-
tiary;

Mr. Stone moved to strike out one hundred and fifty, and in-
sert fifty,

Which was rejected;                     

The said bill was then read the third time, and rejected by
yeas and nays as follows:
