And a bill entitled, an act to provide for repairing the State's
wharf on Frederick street Dock, Dugan's wharf, the wharf front-
ing on the water at the south end of Tobacco Warehouses No. 1
and 2, in the city of Baltimore; also for repaying and repairing
the streets in front of said Warehouses; also for removing the sed-
iment.

Mr. Roberts reported a bill entitled, an act to appoint an addi-
tional magistrate in election district No. 2, in Talbot county.

Mr. Carper from the Select Committee reported a bill entitled,
an act to require the clerk of the Circuit Court for Frederick
county to make and prepare a general index to the land records of
of Frederick county and to transcribe two of the equity dockets
of said county;                               

Mr. Merrick offered the following resolution :

Whereas, the continuance of this session of the Legislature is
limited by the Constitution to Monday next, and the condition of
the public business imperatively requiring every moment of time
to intervene between this and the time fixed for the close of the
session, to be diligently devoted to the dispatch of that business,
therefore

Resolved, that this House will sit on Sunday the 9th inst., for
the regular discharge of its legislative duties.

Which was read the first time.           

Mr. Frazier offered the following order:

Ordered, that the House of Delegates will act exclusively from
half past eight until half past nine, on the passage of local bills.

On motion of Mr. Merrick,                                     

The House adjourned until to-night at 8 o'clock.

THURSDAY EVENING,
                                                         March 6th, 1856.
