On motion of Mr. Goldsborough,
Bill, No. 9, was reconsidered and postponed.

A bill entitled a supplement to an act entitled an act to incor-
porate the Maryland and Delaware Rail Road Company.

Was read the second time.
Mr. Roberts offered the following amendment,

Add to section 9, " and that the compensation of each
commission shall be the sum of two dollars per day, and neces-
sary expenses."                 

Also an amendment, Sec. 10, And be it enacted that this act
shall be in force from the day of the passage thereof:

Which were adopted.

On motion of Mr. Frey,

Was recommitted, The bill entitled an act to give the Justices
of the Peace of Worcester county, jurisdiction in all cases of
assault and battery, herein before given to the Magistrate Courts
of the State, by the act of eighteen hundred and thirty-five
Chapter two hundred and one.

Was recommitted to the Committee on the Judiciary.
The following bills entitled to the third reading.

On motion of Mr. Dorsey,                         

The bill entiled, an act amendatory of an act passed at Janu-
ary session 1854, chapter 194, entitled, an act for the better pro-
tection of Slaveholders in the several counties therein mentioned
was postponed until Monday.

A Bill No. 3. Entitled an act to incorporate the. Somerset and
Worcester Savings Bank.
