for the years 1854 and 1855, or for either of said years, agreea-
bly to the provisions of the Constitution.

On motion of Mr. Stewart,

Leave was granted to the Howard County Delegation to bring
in a bill to change the time of holding the Circuit Courts for
Howard County.

On motion of Mr. Partridge,

Ordered, That the Commissioners appointed under the 17th
section of Article 3d, of the Constitution to revise and codify the
laws of this State, and to report the code so formed, to the Legis-
lature within a time to be by it determined for its approval, amend-
ment or rejection, be required to report forthwith to this House,
the progress made by them in the prosecution of said work.

Mr. Silver from the Committee on Corporations, a bill entitled
an act to incorporate the Elders and Deacons of the German
Evangelical Lutheran, Trinity Church and School of Baltimore

city:

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Heath from the Committee on Education, reported favora-
bly upon a bill entitled an act supplemental to the several acts
relating to the powers and duties of the Board of Primary Edu-
cation of Worcester county:

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Silver from the Committee on Corporations, reported a
bill entitled an act to incorporate the Somerset and Worcester
Savings Bank, with the following amendments:
To section 9th, add:             

"And no director or ether officer of said Corporation, shall
borrow any money from said Corporation.              

Sec. 10. And be it enacted, That the General Assembly ex-
pressly reserves the right to alter or repeal this act, or any part
thereof at pleasure."                            

Mr. Askew from the Select Committee, reported a bill entitled
an act to enforce the payment of rent in the city of Baltimore:

Which was read the first time.                      

The bill entitled an act supplemental to the several acts, rela-
ting to the powers and duties of the Board of Primary Education
of Worcester county,                                           

Was read the second time.
