Mr. Hall offered the following message:
             By the House of Delegates,

March 3rd, 1856.
Gentlemen of the Senate:                                                  

We respectfully return to your honorable body, bill No. 145,
with the request that your honorable body will reconsider and
pass the same.

Which was read and sent to the Senate.                       

On motion of Mr. Loughridge,              

The House adjourned until this evening at 8 o'clock.

MONDAY EVENING,               

March 3rd, 1856.

The House met. Present at the call of the roll the following
members:

Messrs. Speaker, Dorsey, Neff, Waters, Wilson of Calvert,
Dowell, Stone, Rankin, Wright, Cullings, Heath, Roberts, Toad-
vine, Lawson, Wilson, of Som., Dail, Thomas, Scott, Stubbs, Mil-
ler, Bowie, Goldsborough, Rolph, Parker, Smith, of Worcester,
Hauver, Duvall, Jarrett, Silver, Whitby, Kennedy, Partridge,
Smith, of Baltimore city, Abbott, Valiant, Lester, Askew, Har-
rington, Fiery, Witmer, Reichard, Loughridge, Corby, Harding,
Tower, Kildow, Frey, Smith, of Carroll, Buffington, Stewart.

On motion of Mr. Kildow,

The reading of the Journal, of last Friday morning, was dis-
pensed with.                                                                

On motion of Mr. Wright,                                   

The House took up,

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the Commissioners of Balti-
more county to levy a sum of money therein named;               

Was read the second time, and

Three fourths of the members concurring the said bill was read
