Also a bill entitled, an act amendatory of an act entitled, "an
act to incorporate the Manchester Mining Company," passed at
January Session, eighteen hundred and fifty-four, chapter 238
authorizing the said company to issue Bonds and dispose of the
same;

Severally endorsed "read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays;"
Which were referred to the Committee on Corporations.

On motion of Mr. Lester,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims, to introduce a
bill to compensate B. F. Zimmerman, Auditor of the city of Bal-
timore, for the collection of State Taxes.

The select committee composed of the delegates from the city
of Baltimore, reported a bill entitled, an act to change the name
of Henry Schley, of Baltimore city, to Benjamin Henry Schley;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Valiant, from the Committee on Lotteries, reported a bill
entitled, an act more effectually to prevent Gambling.

On motion of Mr. Kildow,                                            

Said bill was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.

The bill entitled, an act to refund to James Sparks, of Queen
Annes county, a sum of money therein named;

Was read the first time.

The bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Dulaney's Valley
and Towsontown Turnpike Company;

Was read the second time.                 

On motion of Mr. Goldsborough,
The House adjourned.

TUESDAY, January 15th, 1856.

The House met pursuant to adjournment; present at the call
of the roll the following members :
